Elizabeth Goudge's short stories appeared in magazines such as The Woman's Home Companion. She published several anthologies of short stories between 1937 and 1971.

After reading Elizabeth Goudge's short stories, I found myself preferring these works to any others that she had written, except perhaps for City of Bells or Scent of Water. Some of these titles are quite scarce.
